GHS:  *TOMORROW 5/21: - Jrs and Srs, all travel by bus to LHS at 8:45 a.m.
            *Thursday 5/22: - go to assembly in gym at GHS 8:40 - STOP BY S4 with your time sheet immediately following the assembly on THURSDAY to drop off your time sheet.  The assembly will conclude about 20 minutes before the end of period 3.

*Attendance is required - you must be excused by a parent if not attending.

LHS:  TOMORROW, 5/21:  Come to ROP at GHS 1:05 p.m.
           Thursday, 5/22:  Proceed, via a school announcement, to the assembly right after lunch.  Proceed to your internship site at 1:30 (after the assembly).

Clinical Immersion and Mentoring Summer  PAID Internship DEADLINE 5/21/14   (sorry for the late notice, I just heard about this) Description: This is a four(4) week, full-time program where program participants will directly observe patient care while shadowing a health care provider in the hospital or clinic while being exposed to a variety of health careers including: Medicine, Public Health, Dentistry, Nursing, PA, Paramedic/EMT/Fire, and Health Care Administration.    The internship will allow you to: * Shadow mentors in patient care settings * Gain clinical exposure  * Interact with health professionals * Attend hands-on workshops * Participate in weekly mentorship workshops * Participate in community service opportunities and field trips    Program Duration: July 7th, 2014- August 1st, 2014 (4 weeks), M-F 9am-4:30pm   Location: Alameda Health System-Highland Hospital and  Samuel Merritt University, Oakland, CA www.highlandahs.org            www.samuelmerritt.edu    Stipend: Participants will receive a stipend during the internship.              Stipend amount will be $250 for high school students and $750 for college students,  graduates, and post-bac students.   Who is eligible to apply: -Pre-health/pre-medical students -High school students(must be 15 years of age) -College students -College graduates -Post-baccalaureate students   Application Deadlines:   High School Student Application Due:  Deadline Extended to May 21st by 11:59pm online  Resumes are highly encouraged Apply at: www.mimscience.org/summerinternship/highschoolapplication      Contact Information: Nelly Gonzalez Program and Operations Director ngonzalez@mimscience.org Mentoring in Medicine & Science
