Here is the information that they will need for Saturday. They need to be there
at 6am and their shift will go until 11am. I will actually need to be in the
finish line tent so I will not see these individuals. They will need to check in
at 6am at the Project Sport Tent (black) - 2106 First Street, Downtown Livermore
Here is the rest of the information:
We’re very excited and thankful
that your students will be coming out to help. Their primary responsibility will
be course marshaling Mile 1 of the course for the half marathon runners and then
the Family Fun-K. Note that the half marathon runners head out on S L Street for
Mile 1 as well as return on the same stretch of road for Mile 13. So the shift
time below is accurate.
Thank you again and we’ll see you Saturday
morning!

Resume, Cover Letter and References - These must be free of ALL ERRORS, grammar, spelling, formatting, etc. Worried? Work with a parent, teacher or counselor to ensure all three are PERFECT :-) BRING 30 SHEET PROTECTORS to put in your portfolio on 3/19. Don't forget to add Keenan Safe Schools to the resume', CPR certifications and all achievements. Remember: ONE PAGE resume! Please ask me for help if needed, okay?
Medical Terminology Rap, Song, etc. - Be ready to work on this 3/19. 30 medical words required. You may use some abbreviations, but no more than about 10% of the project. Use quizzes 5 through 21 as your guide.

Kaiser Student Interns - Special Assignment for 3/17 to 3/21
Hello All,
I have a special assignment for all Kaiser students per Kareen Knowles. She will brief you on a survey that will be conducted by you, with the members/patients at Kaiser 3/17-3/21.
PLEASANTON: AM students, on Monday 3/17, meet Ms. Knowles in administration near pediatric injection at 9:45. PM students, meet Ms. Knowles, same area, at 1:45.
LIVERMORE: AM students, on Tuesday, 3/18, meet Ms. Knowles in administration down the hall from Health Education at 9:45. PM students, meet Ms. Knowles, same area, at 1:45.
The idea of the survey is to identify patient expectations of their visit to Kaiser. Please PRACTICE these questions and memorize them. She will tell you how to record the patient's responses.
Hello, my name is ___________. I am conducting a brief survey. May I ask you two questions?
1. Who do you expect to speak to at the appointment time given to you?
- Medical Assistant
- Doctor
- Other ________________________
2. What do you consider to be the "beginning" of your appointment?
- When you are called in by the Medical Assistant
- When the doctor walks in to the exam room to see you
- Other ________________________
Everyone:
1. Please review the 3/12 blog.
2. Keep Friday absences to a minimum. This is becoming a trend for a lot of students. If you have a legitimate reason for absence, I will understand, and a parent must contact GHS (for GHS students and I must be contacted for all PM students by a parent for each absence) If you do not have a good reason for absence, you, the site and the program are at risk. Remember to FINISH STRONG, the site, and your teacher, are your precious assets...for a reference!
Take care and have a WONDERFUL weekend.

Dear Ms. Doe:
I am writing to express my interest in the available Medical Office Receptionist position at Northwest Community Hospital. With my strong educational background, front-desk skills, and clerical experience, I am confident I can perform extremely well to your facility.
As you will note from the enclosed resume, I am very skilled in opening and closing of the office, greeting, answering and scheduling patients, taking and forwarding messages, and collecting and submitting daily revenue reports. Moreover, I am able to maintain an arranged appearance of the front desk and waiting room area. Besides clerical tasks, I also have a demonstrated ability to assist with bookkeeping, filing and scanning functions.
Furthermore, I have excellent customer service skills, possess the ability to multi-task, reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic, bilingual and have good skills in using MS word and Excel.
I am impressed by the reputation of Northwest Community Hospital and feel confident that my hands-on experience would enable me to perform the Medical Office Receptionist job well. I would appreciate an occasion to meet with you and talk about my qualifications and to learn more about this opportunity and your facility. I will call you the week of May 12th to see if a meeting can be arranged. In the meantime, I may be reached at [contact #] or via email at [Email].

There have been a few comments from supervisors on grooming and personal hygiene....make sure you are wearing proper attire/uniform/shoes, have your badge, good dental hygiene and you are showering/using deodorant - especially my athletes! Look good and smell good! (no perfumes, just nice, clean skin and very lightly scented body lotion.)

CC HOURS.....YOU CAN HELP GOOD NEWS BEARS!
FROM JEANIE:
· - I will be doing a
gifting pull on this week on Thursday, March 6.
from 4-6 pm. I
can use helpers to sort and fill, too. Our
storage area is at 1838 Catalina Court, in the business office complex behind
Lucky on Holmes.
- We will be
having a collector bear sale at the Chamber office on Saturday, March
29.
There is a half marathon that is starting and stopping at the flagpole, so t saw
this as an opportunity to showcase our organization to a lot of out of town
visitors. We will be there 8 am – about 2 pm. Again, I need workers! And I need
bear costume wearers! I could also use help on Friday, March
28th to move the tubs of critters over to the Chamber from
our storage.
·
- The Doll Show
has new owners, and they have agreed to give us space again at the show. The
show is Saturday, April 26
at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. I need to know I’ll
have workers before I commit, so please let me know ASAP if you can work a
shift. We are there 9 am – 3:30 pm
Thanks!
Jeanie

Take care,
Mrs. Erceg
